Wood Floor Installation, Repair & Refinish
At MB Flooring, we believe choosing the right floor is found in the installation. If you choose to install a high value wood floor, but the installation is less than perfect, the value of your floor is all but lost. The result of poor installation often leads to poor longevity as it will diminish and warp over time. This may be true for some hardwood floor installers, but not for us. We know the value of quality installation and the work that goes with it –  which is why we do not take any shortcuts. For us quality is a promise, not a recommendation. You can count on us to get the job done right the first time!

Pre-finished Hardwood Flooring

For many homeowners prefinished hardwood flooring is preferred over traditional hardwood flooring for its many advantages. While traditional hardwood flooring offers a variety of woods and stains, prefinished hardwood offers virtually the same options without the mess and expensive price tag.

How is this possible? Let us tell you! When hardwood floor is installed the planks are installed as fresh, bare wood. To ensure the longevity of your floor, the wood must be prepped, sanded and finished before use – which can take hours and sometimes days to complete. With prefinished hardwood flooring the wood is treated, stained and finished by the manufacturer before it arrives – making the floor ready to use the same day it’s installed. No waiting time, and best of all, no additional finish needed. Once it’s installed the work is done.

Benefits of Site Finished Hardwood Flooring
  • Same day installation
  • Wood is stained and finished by the manufacturer
  • Same day use
  • Extended warranties with finishes
  • Save time and money on labor
  • Variety of wood species and pre-stained options

Engineered Hardwood Flooring

MB Flooring has been installing engineered hardwood flooring for many years. We offer a wide variety of engineered hardwood flooring options to suit the needs of our customers. From dark elegant stains to soft bright colors, we have a floor to match virtually any home or business!

Is engineered hardwood flooring right for you?

When first deciding to install hardwood flooring you’re immediately plagued with the number one question “what type of flooring do I need?” Knowing what flooring will be best for your home can be tricky and require a lot of thought. At MB Flooring we have the answers you need!

To help you decide which floor is right for you, we have provided answers to the most common questions we hear from our customers, along with a guide to help you with your choice.
What is the difference between engineered hardwood and unfinished hardwood?

Engineered hardwood consists of multiple layers of woods that have been layered and cross-grained. This type of flooring is pre-stained and pressed with polyurethane coating for increased durability and ready to use shortly after installation. Whereas, unfinished hardwood flooring consists of bare wood planks that are installed, prepped, stained and finished on site for a custom appearance. Each plank is hand cut, sanded, stained and finished on site by a professional flooring contractor. Added dry time is needed before the floor is ready to use.

What flooring adapts better to climate change?

Depending on the type of wood you choose, unfinished hardwood can expand and shrink with temperature changes, sometimes leaving gaps and raw edges. Engineered hardwood has been pretreated and pressed with protective coatings to protect against temperature changes and sun exposure.

Which type of flooring is better for cleaning?

Both types of flooring can be cleaned by sweeping and dry mopping.
